My philosophy of teaching is very simple. Being an educator is a true passion of mine and I hope to enrich a child’s life with what I know. I have learned many different things and I hope to teach my students how important play is. I want my students to play freely and learn from their own mistakes. Creating a safe, welcoming, and supportive environment is important to me because play is so important for a child’s growth the development and I want my students to play a good environment. Building relationships are important because I want my students to respect everyone. When incorporating play, I want my students to feel comfortable asking another friend to play. Also I want my students to feel comfortable enough to say “no” to a friend if they would like to play independently. The relationships that my students form in my classroom are important because they can become lifelong friendships. I believe that having play incorporate into my aspects of my future classroom is so important because play, help students strengthen different skills, and I want my students to be as successful as possible.
I feel that the best way to enrich a child’s life and help them learn is through play. I believe that children can learn through many different types of play. I want my students to have the ability to have many different things to play with in the classroom. In my classroom, I have many things that my children can play with. I would like a dramatic play area. The reason for having this is so my students are able to explore through imagination and creativity. I believe that having an imagination helps a child play so much better. I believe that my students benefit from having a sensory table. Having a sensory table allows my students to play while strengthen their fine motor skills. My students also benefit from having an art center because it will help them strengthen their creativity and will give them the ability to express themselves. I have a block area in my classroom, because I believe the block area can help my students will be give the opportunity to build and construct different things. Having a classroom that is generally centers is my students because they will be able to play throughout their school day, and benefit from the power of play.
